Q&A

I need some help to understand the soap % limit. When it says 5% of this EO, if I were to blend two essential oils together, does it still mean I can still use max 5% of this EO, or does it mean the combined total of the two EOs should be 5% ? (Assuming the other EO is also 5% max). Thank you for your time.
This means you can use up to 5% of added fragrance total, not each.

Yes, this can be used in hair care products. It is safe up to 5% but we recommend starting with 0.5-1% since it is strong.
hi is this bergaptene free?
Our Bergamot EO is not bergaptene free.
I am a bit confused on the % I need to use with MP soap. Is the Percentage of oil use relative to the amount of soap? i.e. 1 lb of MP soap uses 0.8 oz of this oil?Please clarify.Thank you!
According to this fragrance's IFRA Maximum Skin Exposure Levels it can be used at 5% in soap bases which would be a maximum of 0.8 ounces of fragrance per pound. But you also want to consider the MP soap base you are using. We generally suggest a maximum of 3% (0.48 ounces per pound). Lastly consider what smells good. Since our essential oils are 100% pure they are very strong. You may find that 1% or 0.16 ounces per pound is more than enough for your soap.
If I use essential oil in a lip balm would I be able to call it a natural lip balm?
Essential oil is natural so yes you could as long as all the other ingredients are natural too.
